ISDN

ISDN

ISDN stands for Integrated Services Digital Network, which means something like Integrated Services Digital Network . This is a nationwide telecommunications network that emerged from the analogue telephone network.

Voice, graphics, text and other data are thus available to the consumer at the connection. With the right end devices, this range of services can also be used by the user.
The advantages of this transmission technology are that all these services can be handled via just one subscriber line. In addition, conventional ISDN services have been improved. This leads to better quality when telephoning, faster connection setup, shorter transmission times when transmitting faxes and faster data transmission. The expanded range of services (e.g. fixed image, moving image) and service features (e.g. display of phone numbers and charges, swapping, three-way conference, call waiting, call forwarding, automatic callback on busy signals) are also advantages of this telecommunications network.
