Gothic

Gothic

The Gothic scene emerged from the punk and new wave environment in the early 1980s. It is the main component of the so-called black scene and is inextricably linked to Gothic music.

The followers of the Gothic culture are often called goths, goths or goths. From time to time the originally negatively associated term Goth is now used as a self-designation. For the most part, however, it has been pushed out of general usage.

The Gothic Values ??

The Gothic milieu is considered to be a very aesthetic, introverted and extremely peaceful culture with often sensitive, albeit somewhat unrealistic members. The average population is sometimes perceived negatively, for example as conservative, consumption-oriented, intolerant or selfish.

Gothic is mainly a way of life. Every human being somehow has his own religion and interprets it as he sees fit. Some also have a slight aversion to people who see their own religion as the only right thing to do.

An important point in the Gothic scene is of course the music, as a large part of the life of the scene takes place at musical events. The music is very diverse throughout the black scene and varies from medieval to modern, to very loud, apocalyptic sounds or melancholic and dark. The lyrics not only deal with the subject of death and vampires, as many clichés claim, but you will find the dark, destructive side of life portrayed here much more than in other styles of music. Many musicians on the scene see themselves more as artists than musicians. They regard their music, lyrics, stage show and performance as a total work of art.

Also the interest in literature such as Nietzsche; Art, profound music, religion, romance is pronounced in the Gothic scene. Goths are anti-commercial and anti-mainstream, they are often melancholic and wear black clothes about 99% of the time. Your extravagant clothing has a deeper meaning for you. They want to express their opinions to show that they are different from their normal environment.

Gothics don`t accept everything, they question things. They don`t constantly demand the positive and don`t see the world through rose-tinted glasses. It is accepted that this is the way the world is, a place with upsides and downsides and not only positive moments.
