Golem

Golem

Golem (Hebrew "unformed" or also "embryo"). In modern Neo-Hebrew, the word golem means "foolish" or "helpless." The rabbinic tradition calls everything unfinished a golem. A woman who has not yet conceived a child is also known as a golem.

Golem is a common name for a creature, particularly in a Jewish legend. This is about a human-like figure artificially created from mud and clay, which has special powers, follows commands, but cannot speak.
