Credit card acceptance

Credit cards are at the "Point of Sale" as well as in the World Wide Web Payment Standard.

The term credit card acceptance refers to the size of the network of credit card acceptance points. Since the various credit card companies MasterCard, VISA, American Express, Diners Club and JCB have different price models, are accepted differently in different countries.

In Germany it is not yet possible to pay by credit card in some shops because they pay high fees for it. Dealers are prohibited from passing these fees on to customers. However, credit card acceptance is also becoming more and more popular in Germany.

Credit card acceptance is higher in many other countries. In Canada, for example, you can use your credit card to pay for bread rolls at the bakery.
