Contact

Contact

Contact comes from the Latin contingere and means something like touch. There are two types of contact: the body contact and the social contact .

Under body contact means touching one`s own body or the body of another person. This touch can be active or passive and it does not matter whether it is done with the fingertips, the lips, the hands or any other part of the body. It can be gentle (kiss) or intense (punch). Physical contact is very important, especially when raising a child. If this is often held in your arms, it cries less and is usually happier than a child that is raised with little physical closeness. Anyone who enters into physical contact with another person wants to use this non-verbal communication to tell them that they like them. Getting so close to someone is a very intimate act, because the body odor and perfumes of the other person are perceived very clearly and this can be decisive for further communication.

Under social contact one understands all contact with other people. Those who have no social contacts feel lonely. If you don`t spend enough time with other people, it can even endanger your health.
