Juchtenleder

Juchtenleder is an originally Russian term for a type of cowhide. Russia leather is tanned and then heavily greased. This makes the leather extremely durable and gives it the property of being waterproof.

Russia leather is very easy to care for. By rubbing the leather with birch tar oil, the Russia leather has an intense smell. Russia leather is mostly used in the shoe industry.
