Polyamide

The short form of the synthetic fiber polyamide is PA. This is formed from linear macromolecules, from which very different textile materials can be produced depending on how they are processed. For example, polyamide is used to make swimwear, linings, weatherproof fabrics for sportswear, outdoor, Cordura or highly abrasion-resistant, heat-resistant Kevlar fabrics.

The great basic properties of polyamide are particularly noteworthy. These include crease resistance, tear resistance, abrasion resistance and resistance to bacteria and numerous chemicals.
