Cement

Cement is a hydraulic binder for concrete and mortar. It is a non-metallic, inorganic substance which chemically reacts and solidifies when it comes into contact with water.

The hardening of the cement in the mixing water makes it solid and stable. Cement is used in the construction industry, among other things.
