Quandbit
A quandbit is a set of 4 bits that are interpreted, processed and transmitted as a single bit.
It is also known under the name nibble and is mostly used in communication technology.
The 4 bits, i.e. half a byte, can be encoded and represented in 16 possible combinations. The values ??of the 16 states can then be mapped in the hexadecimal system.
The term quadbit is used when using higher transmission speeds, since an increase is achieved by encoding 4 bits instead of 1 or 2 bits.
