GPRS
GPRS stands for "General Packet Radio Service". It is a technology available since 2000 that is used for data transfer
uses the so-called packet switching. GPRS was developed from the well-known GSM data transmission and has a much larger one
Data throughput because several GSM transmission channels are used in parallel in the GPRS multislot method.
Depending on the capacity of the local wireless network, GPRS-enabled devices achieve data transfer speeds of up to 171.2 kbit/s
if all eight time slots could be fully utilized.
The data is divided into data packets and transported via different stations and
Receiver reassembled. With GPRS, users can stay on the Internet all day long, since GPRS is not part of the time tariff
is billed but the amount of data transferred provides the cost basis.
