Spread
Because of the worldwide colonization by Christian countries that followed the mission, Christianity became the world religion with the largest number of followers.
Christianity is spread in all parts of the world, but mainly in Europe, Africa, America, Australia and the Philippines. In Germany before 1989, before reunification, 88% of the population belonged to one of the two major Christian churches. In the year 2000 it was about 70 percent in Germany as a whole.
