Antarctica
The Transantarctic Mountains are located in Antarctica. It is a mountain range that lies, with breaks, between Cape Adare in Victoria Land and Coatsland. With a length of around 3,500 km, the Transantarctic Mountains are the fifth longest mountain range on earth. If, as is sometimes the case, the mountains of the Antarctic Peninsula are also included, the mountain range is even about 4,800 km long. The highest peak in the Transantarctic Mountains is Mount Kirkpatrick at 4528 m.
