Title:	K Pax

A man suddenly appears out of nowhere on the Grand of New York. He is arrested as a suspect in a robbery. Carrying no ID with him and claiming to be from a planet called K-Pax, the man, who calls himself Prot, is put in a mental institution for this reason. There he sits opposite the psychiatrist Mark Powell (Jeff Bridges), who has actually already lost interest in his patients due to the daily routine. He is content with the simple diagnosis of a loss of reality. That changes quickly, however, because Prot is a self-assured person and has a reasonable explanation for every question Powell asks. This really gets the doctor thinking and makes him doubt his expertise. His knowledge of astrophysics is extraordinary, even for the experts, he disappears from the asylum for a few days as if it had no walls at all and is the leader of all inmates. When he reveals that he will be leaving Earth in three weeks, Dr. Powell didn`t have much time to discover Prot`s origins. Is he from K-Pax or a tortured soul who has fled to a new identity.
