Climate and SoilsThe Valle del Aconcagua has a Mediterranean climate - the warm summers are cooled by the Pacific Ocean, which means that the harvest here is two to three weeks later than in other regions of Chile.
FeatureIn addition to the wineries, the Aconcagua Valley offers numerous other tourist opportunities: skiers will find a paradise in the winter sports center Portillo in the Andes, mountaineers can dare to climb the 6962 meter high Aconcagua, and kayak lovers can enjoy themselves on the Laguna del Inca. Some of the vineyards of the Viña San Esteban host ancient, pre-Columbian petroglyphs.
