Barossa Valley

The Barossa Valley is 70 km northeast of Adelaide. The vineyards are mostly on level land between 240 and 300 meters.

Typical wine varieties include Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Burgundy and Chardonnay.

The typically Mediterranean climate ensures dry summers and mild winters. Thanks to these ideal climatic conditions, strong, fruity red wines, strong white wines and liqueur wines are produced in the region.

The area under vines of 10,0000 hectares corresponds to only 10% of the total area under vines in Australia, but a quarter of the Australian vines are still processed here.

In addition to wine tasting in one of the numerous wineries, old churches can be visited, which bear witness to the history of the wine-growing region.
