E-payment

E-payment

Payment via the Internet is also referred to as e-payment, for the processing of which all information required for the transfer, such as name and account information, is transmitted via the Internet.

This quite new payment method has been added to the traditional payment methods such as invoice, cash on delivery, prepayment or direct debit. The advantages of this service include a low risk of non-payment that is comparable to existing traditional distance selling payment methods or a comparably low risk of losing the shipped goods.

The use of largely automated e-payments shortens processing times, increases customer satisfaction and lowers the overall costs of payment processing. The payment methods invoice, cash on delivery or prepayment, which usually have to be processed manually, often do not offer these advantages.

The use of e-payment by companies is now very high, as they want to give their customers the opportunity not only to order online, but also to pay online. e-Payment has meanwhile manifested itself in Internet payment transactions and it is impossible to imagine the Internet without it
